CEDAR POINT SCRIBBLES
by Rita Potter
Cedar Point has had a difficult year, as everyone knows. The spring earthquake took it's toll, to be sure. However there are dark things there that remain as a regular staple to the community that should concern not only residents of Cedar Point, but all of British Columbia and Canada as a whole.
One of the 'brighter' of these are reports of illegal and illicit acts within the Lavender Bed and Breakfast, found on Galley Crescent. The brothel, owned and operated by Tallulah Beal, works without interference from police, as Beal is 'romantically' linked to police chief Nick Callahan. Neither Beal nor Callahan could be reached for comment.
An even darker shadow over Cedar Point is internationally linked. The Japanese government has reportedly recruited a 13 year old girl into its military. This child, who is of Japanese ancestry, allegedly entered the program with the consent, support and encouragement of her parents. However, as all Canadians know, a 13 year old is neither emotionally or legally of age to make decisions along those lines of any kind. Apparently the Japanese government lacks consenting adults for their mission and so is using its long history of brainwashing I the name of 'honor' and 'cultural responsibility' to conscript children.
The child, who is apparently already an officer, is being taught to use deadly weapons and very possibly to fly, and will be returning to Canada at some point in the future. It is possible this child will be attending the Cedar Point School with the knowledge of the use of deadly force, which of course, her classmates will not have. School officials could not be reached for comment.
Could this child, whose name is withheld, become a modern day Takeo Yoshikawa, the Japanese spy in Hawaii before the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941? Use of children as solders has long been frowned upon by world leaders and countries practicing it in modern times have faced appropriate charges. Perhaps Japan is next.
ALEXANDRA SCRIBBLES
by Rita Potter
Alexandra Island has a dark and mysterious history of it's own. Halloween has always been a banned holiday there. Mayor Frederic Sewid continues to enforce this law, supported by the Alexandra Police chief Adum Brate. Perhaps they believe that the ban will improve the islands exorbitant crime rate. In September alone there have been, two felony assaults, one rape, one attempted rape, and a murder. If this does not improve, the towns annual Winter Festival may suffer from lack of attendance, which in turn could deliver a devastating blow to the island community.
Ironically, Cedar Point and Alexandra are sister cities to each other. And an odd pair if sisters, indeed.
